How to gift a Kindle book on Amazon
- Pick a request below and click the "Buy Kindle Book & Gift" button.
- A small confirmation shows the recipient's name and email. Keep this tab open — you'll paste the email into Amazon in a moment.
- Click OK. A new Amazon tab opens on the exact Kindle edition the requester chose.
- On the Amazon page, in the right-hand Buy panel, click "Buy for others" or "Give as a Gift". (The wording varies by region; either option leads to the gift flow.)
- In Amazon's gift form, paste the recipient's email (the one shown on this site — a regular email like name@example.com, not a @kindle.com address). Add an optional message and pick a delivery date.
- Click Place your order and pay as you would for any Amazon purchase.
- Return to this tab. When prompted "Did you complete the purchase?", click OK — the book is marked as gifted on the platform.
What the recipient experiences: Amazon emails them a redemption link. They click it, sign into their Amazon account, and the book lands in their Kindle library — readable on every Kindle device or app they use.

Why Buy Me a Book exists
Growing up, we're all measured the same way — the same exams, the same standards, the same expectations. But the books that help us meet those standards? Those aren't available to everyone. Whether it's a science textbook, a maths guide, a history book, or a novel — some kids grow up surrounded by them, while others have never owned a single one. Same race, very different starting lines.
That never sat right with us. So we built Buy Me a Book around one belief:
Books shouldn't be something you buy for yourself — they should be something we give each other.
